Michelle Tran R.O.
Hi! I'm Michelle Tran and I am the owner of Eyedentity Optical. I was born and raised in Kitchener, Ontario, and have been working in the optical industry for 11 years. I graduated from Seneca College as an Optician in 2015 & I've had the privilege to work in some of Ontario's best optical stores.
I experienced working on movie sets as contact lens technician and have worked on productions like Star Trek, Murdoch Mysteries, Nightbooks, Priscilla & more.
I was awarded Platinum in Best Optician 2022 Reader’s Choice Awards & Gold in 2023 for the Waterloo Chronicle. I absolutely love what I do, and can't wait to help you find your new eyedentity.
Dr. rachel Bruns
Dr. Rachel Bruns started her academic career at the University of Guelph where she first developed a keen interest in the eye. This curiosity led her to obtain a Masters degree focused on glaucoma at the University of Toronto for which she was awarded the Vision Science Research Award two years in a row. Upon completing her master’s degree, she decided a more hands on approach to health care better suited her outgoing personality and she enrolled in Optometry School at the University of Waterloo from which she graduated with honours in 2019.
Dr. Bruns has a special interest in myopia control, glaucoma management and children's eye care. Outside of the clinic you might find her camping with her husband and daughter, or golfing. She has a passion for DIY remodeling her century home which she purchased in 2022. She is looking forward to meeting everyone in the community and providing comprehensive eye exams!
Dr. Maggie Porter
Dr. Maggie Porter, an optometrist with a deep passion for life and learning, hails from the vibrant city of Kitchener. As a determined student, she pursued her Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Guelph, subsequently furthering her education at the University of Waterloo where she studied Optometry.
Outside of her professional life, Maggie is fond of baking, immersing herself in diverse literature, practicing the tranquility of yoga, and spending time with her beloved dog, Marvin. Her multifaceted life truly reflects her dynamic spirit and unwavering drive. Dr. Porter is excited to promote eye care within the city that has given her so much!
